Marrakesh Express Wellbeing Wellness Retreat

During this all-round wellness experience, Suzy Bastone and Rob Howles will guide you on a mix of dynamic fitness and different yoga practises, inclusive of relaxing meditations and invigorating mindfulness techniques, allowing you to lean into your Yin AND Yang energy to find your energetic balance. Join them to increase your strength & confidence and unwind whilst finding your calm.

Retreat Programme


There will be 4 classes each day. The first class will be at 17:00 on 5th November followed by a delicious evening meal.


Each morning Suzy & Rob will begin by taking you through a Fitness and Yoga session at around 08:00 before breakfast. We will enjoy our second Yoga session of the day and we will finish with dinner at around 19:30.


In-between classes, you have free time to relax and enjoy the facilities, or perhaps explore the local surroundings and what it has to offer.


Suzy:

Within Suzy’s Yin Yoga session, you will hold gentle poses for 3-5 mins, helping you to increase flexibility by targeting the deep connective tissues of the body. She will guide you with breathwork sessions and Yoga Nidra meditation, using a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. This mindfulness space also gives you permission to observe your thoughts and release emotions in the gaps that we usually try to fill with constant stimulation. Be prepared to find your stillness and float out of your practice!


Rob:

Rob has been involved in fitness all his life, competing in all sorts of sports from pole vault to triathlon and now works as Yoga teacher, Personal Trainer, and Fitness instructor. His main passion is mobility and movement, and yoga plays a big part of this. Rob has been doing yoga for 25 years and teaches Hatha, vinyasa, and Yin disciplines. He prefers nothing more than a dynamic power yoga class with a nice chilled shavasana to start his day.

Fawakay Villas


Relaxation is the speciality of this calming oasis a 15-minute drive from, but seemingly aworld away, bustling Marrakesh. Made up of five sand-hued villas and three eco-villa suites sprinkled around 3.5 acres of rose-filled gardens, this boutique complex promises pure relaxation and rejuvenation. Pebble pathways lead to the superbly appointed individual villas and suites, all of them designed to allow guests to be as private or social as they wish.


Classes and practices are held outdoors in the scented grounds, and guests can also avail themselves of the outdoor pool, spa, hammam and the many seats and hammocks around the property. Our Retreats include breakfast and a 3 course dinner, a lunch and snack menu is also available with authentic North African dishes prepared using fresh local ingredients by the resident chef.


When it comes to exploring, there are a number of excursions available to book outside of the Retreat sessions including a trip to Marrakesh’s souks, while the nearby Atlas Mountains draw guests with their peaceful hiking trails, waterfalls, and Berber villages.

Day 1

  • Arrival. 1st Yoga session, dinner and settling in

  • Suzy & Rob: Full Moon Salutation celebration followed by Sunset Nidra Meditation- breathwork & balancing energy - 45 mins

  • Mint Tea and bed


Day 2

Morning Sessions

  • Rob: Early Morning METAFIT body weight fitness class 30 mins

  • Suzy & Rob - Group gathering for intention setting and breathwork – 15 mins

  • Rob & Suzy: Vinyasa yoga and mobility workshop (partner work) 60 mins

Evening sessions

  • Suzy: Vinyasa Yoga 45 min

  • Rob: Yin 45 min

  • Suzy: Sunset terrace meditation 15/20 mins


Day 3

Morning Sessions

  • Rob: Early Morning Legs, Bums and Tums fitness class

  • Suzy & Rob - Group gathering for intention setting and breathwork – 15 mins

  • Suzy: Hatha yoga 45 min

Evening sessions

  • Rob: Power Yoga 45 min

  • Suzy: Yin 45 mins

  • Suzy - Sunset Nidra Meditation for deep sleep – 30 mins


Day 4

Morning Sessions

  • Suzy: Sunrise meditation – 30 mins

  • Rob: Early Morning METAFIT body weight fitness class 30 mins

  • Suzy & Rob - Group gathering for intention setting and breathwork – 15 mins

  • Rob: Hatha Flow 45 mins

  • Rob & Suzy – Acro yoga – 45 mins

Evening sessions

  • Suzy: Vinyasa Yoga 45 min

  • Rob: Yin 45 min

  • Suzy – Final night group Breathwork and meditation - 30 mins


Day 5

  • Breakfast and 10:00 Checkout
