Pilates Retreats

Joseph Pilates first developed the practice in New York City in the 1920s and it is now popular with millions of people around the world. Pilates is a disciplined practice which helps to elevate mind, body and spirit. A whole body workout, Pilates requires small movements for specific areas of the body to improve muscle tone, balance, flexibility and strength. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, the basic principles are taught to include safe exercise and movements alongside breathing techniques. 

Success Retreats has Pilates holidays offering two different styles of Pilates, Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates. The key differences being mat-based Pilates works on using your body resistance and requires no equipment whilst reformer Pilates incorporates the use of an elevated machine.
